I am a 68-year-old woman with many regrets, yet, I am blessed to see a new sunrise each new morning. I have never been married. I am currently serving a life sentence, and at one point in my life, I lived with an emptiness and loneliness that only a select few could possibly understand. My time behind these gates has been used to become a better person, regardless of my surroundings. I’ve been blessed with opportunities of working in, and around programs that allowed me to help train, and interact with service dogs. What a wonderful joy! I am proud to call myself a humbled person, and I’ve learned to take NOTHING for granted.
