If you are reading this long distance application for a friendship, it is written in Matthew 25:36 “I was in prison and you visited me.”  While this is a metaphor because you have given my thoughts consideration, you have broken the monotony of my confinement and given hope to the hopeless, situationally at least, for this alone I thank you.

I know you may not be accustomed to meeting in such a way, especially from a man in my position. Contrary to popular belief I do not have the opportunity to reach in your direction often either. Thus I struggle with the question… how does one make communicative first impressions?? One that would be impressive enough to allow you the confidence to look past or over these prison walls and take notice of the humanity that lives here.

To this I can only give these things; yesterdays lost loves, failures, and shortcomings have taught me to stand firmly on my faith, truth, and belief that I am not a leper but a man capable of adding vibrant colors that is the mosaic that is your life.
